Registration is mandatory for all classes, and a 24-hour registration and cancellation policy applies. Please reserve your spot using our scheduling system below. Spots in class will not be held by making reservations over the phone, text, email, social media, or any other method. 3-student registration minimum required for classes to run.

If you have never tried pole before, register for INTRO TO POLE classes, not beginner – Intro is designed just for you!

You can join any of our classes at any time! Our curriculum is progressive and builds on itself: it’s designed so that you can jump in at any point. 

We do not have specific start dates.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Intro to Pole

The class is specifically designed for total newbies! You'll get comfortable around the pole and lay the foundations for your pole journey as you have fun learning spins, floorwork, and combos.

Over four weeks, Intro to Pole will give you the skills and confidence you'll carry through Beginner and beyond.

There are no set start dates - jump in anytime!

Key prerequisites: None! Come as you are.

What to wear: Shorts (leggings OK, but less grippy) and a t-shirt or tank top. Kneepads optional.

Being nervous is totally normal, but don't worry - our friendly instructors will make you feel right at home. Bring a water bottle.

Beginner Pole

Learn the language of pole and start to float with spins and tricks on both static and spin pole. You'll learn classic moves like chair spin, windmill, diamond spin, and elbow and shoulder stands. You'll also get comfortable with chaining moves together into more complicated combos.

Conditioning in this level will build the strength to hold yourself up in pole holds, climb the pole, and invert.

Key prerequisites: 2-4 Intro to Pole classes.

What to wear: Shorts and a t-shirt or tank top. Kneepads optional.

Inversions

Inversions is for students who can climb and invert on at least one side and are ready to get comfortable upside down! Inversions will teach you foundational leg hangs, laybacks, and transitions, as well as classic pole moves like the butterfly. Instructor approval is required to sign up for this class.

Key prerequisites: Inside/outside leg hangs, layback, pike hip hold, Superman, comfortable with transitions.

What to wear: shorts, t-shirt or tank top (knee pads recommended).

Instructor approval is required to take this class.

Intermediate Pole

Intermediate Pole is the next step for students who have mastered their leg hangs, laybacks, hip holds, and are comfortable transitioning between individual moves. You’ll level up by learning new moves including shoulder mounts, brass monkey, Jade split, and extended butterfly through Ayesha. Instructor approval is required to sign up for this class.

Key prerequisites: Inside/outside leg hangs, layback, pike hip hold, Superman, comfortable with transitions.

What to wear: shorts, t-shirt or tank top (knee pads recommended).

Instructor approval is required to take this class.

Advanced Pole

For our true pole masters, Advanced will take you to whole new heights. You'll build on everything you've learned in previous levels as you learn moves like Dragontail, Ayesha variations, Janeiro, and dynamic drops. You'll also learn long on-pole and acrobatic low flow combos.

Not even Advanced class is safe from conditioning - you'll work on a variety of drills designed to get you strong and safe in master-level moves like Phoenix.

Key prerequisites: aerial inverts, shoulder mount, Brass Monkey, Ayesha, comfortable front splits and good back/shoulder flexibility.

What to wear: Shorts and a t-shirt or tank top. Kneepads optional.

Instructor approval is required to take this class.

Mixed Level Pole

Build beautiful flows both on and off the pole in Mixed Level Pole. Students from beginner level up can mingle in this class, learning variations on combos at their skill level and making connections with other students.

Key prerequisites: leg hangs, pole sit, pole climbs, layback, shoulder rolls, comfort with weight on hands.

What to wear: shorts, t-shirt or tank top (knee pads recommended).

Instructor approval is required to take this class.

Aerial Hoop

An all-levels class dedicated to getting you flying in the classic circus apparatus Lyra! Learn to flow between poses as you float above the ground. Each class opens with hoop-specific conditioning exercises to develop strength, body awareness, and spin tolerance. After that, you'll learn to get into the hoop with trapeze, straddle, and Delilah mounts, and once you're floating, you'll learn moves from Birdie and Gazelle to more advanced poses.

Key prerequisites: None

What to wear: Long pants and long sleeves; no hoodies or clothes with zippers.

This is an all-level class and modifications/progressions will be provided based on your skill level.

Pole Flow

Pole Flow might be the most popular class at RCA - it's got cult status for a reason. Learn to flow smoothly around the pole and link moves with floorwork in this choreo class. Designed for all levels, you'll get a new routine and song every class: you might be slinking along the floor one week and doing heel bangs the next. The best way to find out why everyone loves it is to take it for yourself! Heels optional.

Key prerequisites: 2-4 Beginner Pole classes.

What to wear: Kneepads. Pleasers or other pole shoes optional.

Heels are optional, but encourage

d (heel clacks are so fun!). However, they must be pole-specific heels like Pleasers, since they are designed to be safe and comfortable to dance in.

Pole Choreography

In Pole Choreography, you’ll learn a brand-new pole choreo each week in a different style. Routines could be contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, or sensual flow - it’s perfect for finding your favourite way to move. Students should be familiar with beginner-level spins around the pole, including knee hooks and around the world.

Key prerequisites: comfort with beginner-level spins like knee hooks.

What to wear: shorts or leggings, socks, and kneepads.

Pole Conditioning

Students of all levels can get strong both on and off the pole with Pole Conditioning. Between practicing foundational skills like climbs and inverts, you'll build strength, stamina, and spin tolerance. Targeted workouts designed just for polers will prepare you for any challenges you'll face in other classes, and since it's a new curriculum every week, you'll never get bored (but will always be sore in a new way!).

What to wear: Shorts, t-shirt or tank top. Kneepads optional.

There are always variations provided - it's truly for all levels. Hoop students also welcome!

It's particularly important to bring a water bottle to Conditioning. You're going to get very sweaty and will need to hydrate.

Flexibility

Flexibility is a 60-minute class suitable for all levels that will improve your strength, mobility, and body awareness. We’ll take you through nerve glides, strengthening, and stretching exercises to safely increase your upper and lower body ranges of motion before bringing it all together into splits or backbending shapes.

Key prerequisites: none.

What to wear: pants and long-sleeved shirts to keep your muscles warm. Kneepads are optional for comfort.

Come to class hydrated - it makes a huge difference to flexibility.

Open Practice

Open Pole is studio time set aside for self-directed practice. Students can work on moves learned in class at their own pace, create choreography, or work on conditioning. An instructor will be onsite to monitor but not teach. Pole and hoop available.
