We made Intro to Pole just for you! We recommend taking four weeks of Intro – you’ll get comfortable around the pole and learn something new every week with other brand-new students. If you’d rather try hoop, our Aerial Hoop class is all levels.

Anyone over 18 who wants to learn pole! RCA is an inclusive, affirming space – we welcome members of all genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and abilities.

For our on-pole classes, you should wear shorts and a t-shirt or tank top; kneepads are recommended but not required. For pole flow and choreography, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, but don’t forget the kneepads! For hoop and flexibility, we recommend long pants and sleeves.

All students must be 18 years of age or older.

It’s totally normal to be nervous before your first class! Our welcoming instructors will take you through everything you need to know on the day of. To best prepare, you should avoid putting on any moisturizer or oil the day of your class to prevent slipping on the pole, bring a water bottle, and don’t forget to remove any jewellery (other than small earrings).

Every studio divides their class levels differently; please check out the Schedule page of our website for detailed descriptions of our classes. We may also arrange an assessment to place you at the appropriate level. You can either email us directly or speak to your instructor to set up a short evaluation.

The Schedule page on our website contains a link to our online registration platform, StudioBookings. Sign up, buy a drop-in pass or class package, and then select Book Now on the class of your choice. Our classes are popular and spots fill up quickly, so we recommend signing up early! Note that registration for each class closes 24 hours before it starts.

All participants must book classes at least 24 hours in advance using StudioBookings.

Under My Schedule in StudioBookings, click the Cancel button next to the class of your choice. Note that you must cancel your class at least 24 hours in advance or the credit will be considered used.

We have a waitlist option! Click “Book Now” as normal and StudioBookings will give you the option to join the waiting list. If someone de-enrols prior to registration closing, their spot will be given to the first person on the waitlist.

No – you can join any time! Our classes are set up so that you can jump in whenever you’re ready.

No – each student must create their own account in StudioBookings, sign a waiver there, and sign up for the class themself.

It’s actually a myth that you need to be very strong to start! Our classes are designed to build strength progressively over time, and beginners come from many different backgrounds and skillsets. However, we always recommend you check with your physician before starting an exercise program.

No dance skills required! We’ll teach you everything you need to know. If we can even teach our instructor Nia to dance, anyone can learn.

No. Pole shoes like Pleasers are designed specifically to be safe and comfortable for pole dance. However, Flow is heels optional, so feel free to come without!
